Dr. Srećko Kovač / CV

Srećko Kovač, PhD, Professor. Born in Zagreb 1957. Graduated in philosophy and sociology (1981), MSc in political science (1986), and PhD in Philosophy (1992), University of Zagreb. Study grant at the University of Cologne 1989–1990. He works at the Institute of Philosophy in Zagreb since 1986, where he has led research projects such as Logical Structures and Intentionality (2007–) and Logic, Language and Modalities (2002–2006). Teaches logic at the Croatian Studies of the University of Zagreb (since 1992), and at the University of Osijek (2004–2012). Visiting professor (2013) and a collaborator in the research project Gödel’s Ontological Argument (2013-) at the Cardinal Wyszyński University, Warsaw. He is the author of Logičko-filozofijski ogledi (2005), Logika (1994, 8th ed. 2004), and Logika kao “demonstrirana doktrina” (1992), and a co-author of Logička pitanja i postupci (with B. Žarnić, 2008). He has published about forty papers in international and Croatian journals and collections of papers. His current interests include logic of belief and knowledge, formalization of ontology, logic of group decision-making, and history of logic.
